Guidelines for a healthy Neighborhood
Occupants living on the territory of Gambler First Nation must show respect and have a good attitude to their neighbors for comfortable living together, preservation of property, life and health of peoples.
All occupants permanently or temporarily on Gambler First Nation territory are prohibited from the following:
• to enter a neighbor’s house or local area without his permission (including transit);
• leave minor children unattended;
• leave pets unattended;
• use of foul language and harassment of your neighbors as well as Gambler First Nation employees;
• use of lawn mowers, power tools and listen to loud music at night (10 p.m. to 8 a.m.);
• drug use and drinking alcohol on roads and in public places Gambler First Nation;
• disposal of household waste outside designated areas;
• deliberately destroy the property of neighbors and the property of the First Nation:
• burning garbage and starting fires (except in barbecues and areas specially designated by GFN Emergency Measures Officer);
• storing things in the house and yard that emit an unpleasant and strong odor, such as chemicals, animal corpses, etc;
• polluting your home and surrounding area with chemicals (including used motor oil, and so on);
• blocking public passages, streets and roads with your vehicles or other things;
• carrying out construction repairs or other work that creates inconvenience to neighbors without prior approval from the Housing Authority;
• exceeding the speed limit of 50 km/h throughout Gambler First Nation.
For the first recorded offense, the Housing Authority issues a warning; for repeated violations within a year and subsequent violations, a fine of 100 to 500 dollars is possible.
Systematic and repeated violations can lead to eviction of the occupant(s).
