Greetings Gambler Members:

Gambler First Nation receives funding from Indigenous Services Canada (ISC). ISC calculates the amount of funding based on the number of residents living on reserve. We are not funded for our members living elsewhere in Canada or in other countries.

Gambler First Nation is only able to share own-source revenues with members living off reserve. This source would include the development in Brandon.

Chief and council have been working tirelessly to develop this source of revenue. Twice they have been obstructed and are now waiting patiently for the appeal process to be completed so they can continue forge ahead.

False rumors have been circulating from uninformed persons that Chief and Council are using Land Claim funds which have not even been offered by Canada as yet.   (Please refer to the Specific Land Claims site updated by Canada regularly).

Had the Brandon project not been interrupted there would already have been sufficient own source income for ALL Band members to assist in this time of crisis.

We appreciate your patience and support while we work through the issues and continue to move forward with our plans to benefit ALL members.
