Did You Know……
The IR63 1881 Quantity and Quality Claim is land that should have been provided to Gambler First Nation as part of Gambler Reserve No. 63, as the result of the 1881 surrender of land from the Waywayseecappo Reserve. There was a shortfall of approximately 700 acres which Gambler First Nation should have received and has claimed.
The 1892 Surrender Claim is approximately 18.25 square miles of land, which includes approximately 15 square miles that was taken from the Gambler Reserve No. 63 in 1892, along with 3.5 square miles of additional land that was set apart as part of the Valley River Reserve No. 63A, which was lost to Gambler.
The 1898 Surrender Claim is the approximately15 square miles of land that was taken from the Gambler Reserve No. 63 in 1898 by the government of Canada that Gambler First Nation has laid claim to.
These three claims are to compensate the Gambler First Nation for the loss of the land, natural resources and loss of economic opportunity.  
Members today and in the future have an opportunity to rebuild the Gambler First Nation land base to access their natural resources and recapture lost economic opportunities.
